July 21, 2007. LA Galaxy VS. Chelsea. David Beckhams arrival.

I must say, the night certainly went GREAT! It started off with us seeing the LA RIOT SQUADs bright red double decker bus driving around, then us finding a parking spot on the street instead of dropping $20 for parking. All fans were great & the atmosphere was phenomenal.

The game itself was great. Im a bit sad Galaxy didnt finish off their chances, but we held up well against Chelsea and we actually showed some determination for once. I am definitely proud of our team and proud to be a long time supporter (though its been TRYING at times!)

Let me just say this game ranks up there to attending the very first ever Galaxy game in 1996 and right up there with some of those crazy, crowded 4th of July matches too, maybe even better. I wish our stadium held more than 30,000.

I have no way to put this all into words. Seeing David Beckham warming up for our Los Angeles Galaxy is a miracle. Its close to heaven on earth. I was there in heaven for a brief 2 hour game! It was awe inspiring when Becks came out on the pitch for his first minutes. That last corner kick… the tumble… the excitement of it all!

As I was walking out, an Englishman in a wheelchair turned to his wife and son and said this was the best 2 hours of his life he could remember in a long time. The wife cried and they hugged each other tight. It was really touching.

I made a little video here for all us fans to remember. Forgive me if some shots arent perfect. I was up on the grass berm. Thanks Becks for all the great memories… Enjoy ~
